BAZAZAS gives to Project Art

hhh
BAZAZAS will donate a portion of each 2014 sale to Project Art, a New York City non-profit dedicated to bringing free art classes to an increasingly underserved population of urban youth.

Why?
hhh
The National Endowment for the Arts reports:
hhh
Economically-disadvantaged students who had exposure to the arts are more likely to plan to earn a bachelor’s degree (74%) than were economically-disadvantaged students with little or no access to the arts (43%). Teenagers and young adults of low socioeconomic status who have a history of in-depth arts involvement show better academic outcomes than do youth who have less arts involvement. They earn better grades and demonstrate higher rates of college enrollment and attainment.

What's more?

hhh
Income inequality is greater in the NYC region than in any other state or metropolitan area in the country.

Let's go!
hhh
BAZAZAS thrives on intersections between creative problem solving, material improvisation, and conceptual thinking in the studio and in the home. It makes sense to us that art empowers kids to understand and articulate their worlds, and that exposure to arts education is correlated with academic success. Art is a powerful tool and we are very excited to support Project Art's mission.
